PHOSPHO-RESCENCE

IMMERSIVE ART INSTALLATION + SPATIAL NARRATIVE

A walking spatial experience that translates the expression of the poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost using light and sound.

The poem ponders on how we all must stop once in a while to admire the beauty around us, but not lose focus on our goals in life.

PRELUDE //

Outside, the viewer is given a lantern to navigate inside.

the journey guide

The lantern acts as a companion and guide for the viewer's 'journey'. It suggest the inside experience to be a dark and eerie one.

The interactive walking experience is a dark and low lit room, dark orbs around and eerie windy sound in the background. On the way its dark but some of the orbs are lit to an electric blue. There's beauty around that one would stop to appreciate, almost like a distraction.

Glimpses of a further "goal" pulls you outs the distraction to move forward towards it.

The goal  or the end is the poem itself that reflects the journey the audience just experienced.
