Kadalamma, was an art installation exhibit, part of the TIME CAPSULE exhibition at NID which was a collection of 16 exhibits. The aim was to create an exhibit to connect people to a place and memory close to you, the beach to me.

"KADALAMMA, word written over a thousand times on the beach sand, as the waves wash it away. As the waves come and go, memories of running on the beach, of the sand castles we made, and of the happy times flashes in and out and the waves take with it new memories. The sea, vast and boundless, with her waves lapping the shore, whether with rage or care, comforts me and makes me feel safe, like a mother.

This exhibit - ‘കടലമ്മ’ (kadalamma),  swathes you in comfort, calming you and holding you safely in the arms of her waves."

The exhibit invites you to sit within its soft arms and listen to the calm sound of the sea and relax.
